Maintenance

Product Care

Avoid exposing jewelry to household products, perfumes, water or other products that will cause the gold to discolor quickly. Jewelry storage is also important. Between uses, we recommend that you place it in a conveniently lined box or bag, such as the ones we offer. Do not leave them in a damp place. Clean your Allos parts frequently with a clean, soft cloth.

Silver

Allos pieces, with proper care, manage to maintain their beauty, and it is necessary to keep some aspects in mind:

  • There is a possibility that gold-plated pieces may lose their color over time. This process can be accelerated if they are mainly exposed to salt water and sulfur-containing products.
  • Household products, make-up, perfumes, body oils, among other products that quickly fade gold should be avoided in pieces that are bathed in this metal.
  • Avoid heat and humidity, as these can cause stains.

Our sterling silver jewelry has a rhodium plated baton to protect the 925 sterling silver from exposure and helps reduce long term tarnishing.

All parts must be stored properly and, for that, we advise you to place the parts in a properly lined bag.

For greater durability and shine of the parts, we recommend cleaning them frequently with a clean, soft cloth. There is also the possibility of using a soft toothbrush and scrubbing the piece with detergent and warm water. Then rinse with clean water and dry with a non-abrasive cloth.

We also alert our customers to the possibility that the pH of each type of skin can sometimes potentiate some alterations that may appear in gold-plated pieces.

We also have a rejuvenation service for your parts if these situations described above occur. If you want this type of service, please contact our customer service at geral@allos.pt. geral@allos.pt.

Gold

Our 18K and 19.2K gold pieces can be used continuously. You can wear our 19.2 and 18 karat gold pieces for a long time, they never fade. If you notice any kind of change, you can pass a soft, non-abrasive cloth and rub the area until it disappears.

If you want to clean your 18K or 19.2K gold pieces, you can mix a few drops of non-detergent soap with warm water and, one piece at a time, wet your jewelry. Then use a very soft brush to lightly clean each piece. Lastly, lightly dry the jewelry with a soft, non-abrasive cloth or paper towel.
